The Blues....

...Oooo, we've missed having a Friday 13th by one day!...Lets celebrate!

I 've decided that finished or not, something new is going up. I'm working on a new painting inspired by some cool photos I found, listening to lots of Devin Townsend and ...well, the Orient. Not immediately obvious I grant you...but all will become apparent... This is a work in progress for the backdrop...kind small, kinda rough....I may even leave it rough, I'm not sure yet. The character which has yet to go in is getting finished as and when I'm finding the time!

So, in conclusion, here is a work in progress if you like. Please critique all you like....make comments, suggestions. Hell you may even influence the final outcome. So all ideas welcome :)

Mark stunning! It looks like a could just walk right onto the boardwalk and go to the house on the lake there. Question did you use a under drawing first or is this all digital paint?

fab - leave it .rough and painty and yet real - like the matt painting at the end of raiders .its like the magician almost showing you how the trick is done but when you try to do the trick yourself you realise there's more to it . sleight of hand .-
the location reminds me of the movie insomnia .
ps why foxy ??? i like it

VERY nice man- sjeez. Great mood. Dark. Begs for a loaf of bright yellow cheese right in the middle! Or a wheel of bread!
could you post it again with that added?

Your whole blog is great, especially this pier painting. I agree with dean, the picture looks great as is. But that’s whats nice about a digital picture; you can save this, and then continue if you originally visualized so.

thanx for stopping by to my blog and I am happy to hear the "rumors are true" means a lot coming from someone w/skillz.

I need to learn how to get a pic for my avatar. I hate not having an image, feel like an outcast!
